LONG RIDE for JUSTICE
In 1865, Union Army Captain Nelson Paintier returns, to his boyhood home in southern Missouri. His orders are to pardon or kill the band of bushwhackers ravaging the area. The raiders ride under the black “Give No Quarter” flag. Caught up in a bushwhacker chase, he realizes that if he doesn’t help them, it could mean the difference between life and death for Ruth Ann, the woman he loves.
Ruth Ann alone understands his guilt for causing the death of a fourteen-year-old slave girl years before. Together they are forced to ride a path that leads them straight to the sheer edge of Hawksbill Crag. What will they do when they reach the ledge? Will their love survive, or will it be lost forever?
